Decorated in a whimsical, eclectic style, this house utilizes energy
efficient geo-thermal electric heating and cooling as well as
eco-friendly furnishings made locally or found in thrift shops and
salvage yards. We also provide a guide to eating locally during your
stay. You'll love the mix of quality handmade tiles by local artists,
antique doors complete with stained glass, colorful finishes and

Visitors who enter the house through the humble exterior are always
pleasantly surprised when they open the front door and enter the
spacious living room/kitchen with wall to wall hardwood floors and
picture windows that give an almost tree house effect to the view of
the private lake, that sits just a stone's throw from the back
porch. The kitchen is fully equipped with table ware as well as pots
and pans, coffee grinder, oven, microwave and toaster. It's the
perfect setting to prepare your
morning breakfast without losing
sight of the surrounding woodland. In the early mornings, keep your
eye out for the
Blue Heron* that often stands in the mist on a sunken
tree branch, preening his feathers or the deer that come down to the
bank on the opposite side of the lake for a morning drink.
There is a boat ramp for non-gas engine boats-
great for electric trolling motors, kayaks and canoes.
The living room houses a
