BIG Easy Log Cabin
The BIG Easy has just become available as a tourist rental home and is a unique combination of being a
historical log cabin full of rustic charm, yet large and spacious for your extended family or friends.
The cabin has been recently renovated and furnished with the perfect combination of charming antiques and modern conveniences.
The cabin is situated on 52 beautiful acres including a small pond as well as a 1.5 acre
tucked up in the woods.
For the nature enthusiast, another 150+ acres owned by the Nature Conservancy is right next door which you can use for more extended hiking.
This 1880’s hand-hewed log cabin has a wonderful wrap-around
porch overlooking a peaceful Brown County valley...
no neighbors within sight! Inside on the first floor you’ll find a newly renovated
kitchen that opens up to both the
dining room with antique pine board harvest table, as well as a large
living room with a unique
geode stone fireplace
and beautiful oak hardwood floors. The living room has a large flat screen TV
and comfortable seating providing the perfect setting to gather and enjoy each other’s company.
Also on the first floor is the
master bedroom with king size four poster bed,
bathroom and its own access to the porch.
A half bath is located off the kitchen/dining room area.
Upstairs you’ll find three additional
bedrooms…you won’t believe the size of these rooms!
There is a
king bed plus a daybed in the bedroom with its own bathroom.
The other two
bedrooms share a large bathroom with double sinks and separate shower/toilet room.
All bedrooms have king beds.
A game room has been set up for your relaxation and to let your competitive juices flow.
Try your hand at the vintage shuffle board table.
also has a large flat screen TV to catch your favorite sports or movie.
Around back is a flagstone patio with arbor that houses the large charcoal grill and
hot tub with built-in speakers.
There is also a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and for gathering the group for campfire stories and to rehash that day’s fun.
Located 4 miles off of Hwy 46 on the east end of Brown County, it is only 10 minutes away from
Brown County State Park’s north entrance and only 12 minutes away from the village of Nashville.
It’s 15 minutes from Columbus and 30 minutes away from Bloomington, both offering great restaurants and cultural events.
Sharing the back part of the same property is one of our sister cabins, Over Easy Log Cabin.
While the two cabins are both located on the same 52 acre property, neither house is visible from the other,
so your privacy won't be interrupted (other than shared lake). The fact that the cabins share the same property is very handy for families
or group of friends who desire two cabins being fairly close together.
Big Easy is also home to The Old Barn at Brown County,
a wedding and event venue.
