Creekside Family Vacation Cabin Creekside Cabin captivates you! Take a step back in time in this original 1860’s cabin and take a step forward in relaxation. This cabin was completely disassembled in 1988 and rebuilt with a two-story addition, which gives all of the modern comforts along with a feeling of nostalgia. Whether you are looking for a quiet, romantic getaway for two, or quality family time away from it all, Creekside Cabin is sure to please. This oversized cabin has room for everyone, with three bedrooms, and a variety of bed sizes, lots of curious antiques and wonderful country quilts. There is a large eat-in country style kitchen, and a warm living room also with satellite TV. We think that you will enjoy the authentic 1960's pinball machine and pool table that are also found in the "bunkhouse" room upstairs with the second satellite TV. Let the flames from the gas burning stove in the comfortable log living area set the atmosphere as you enjoy a romantic evening for two, or a family night of games, puzzles, and movies. There’s plenty of seating for visiting, and a comfy couch for an afternoon’s nap. Just off the living room, is the fully equipped kitchen ---a country cook’s dream! No need to worry about too many cooks in this kitchen---there’s room for everyone! And when it comes to sharing a meal, the harvest table will seat eight of you. The breakfast nook table by the panoramic picture window will seat another four. The view from this window will definitely cause you and your guests to linger over that second cup of coffee or glass of wine. Want to play outside? For the young and young at heart, there’s plenty of room to explore the creek and woods. The babbling creek is rarely more than ankle deep, so you and the kids will love to wade in and find Geodes. The meadow area is great for playing horseshoes, badmitton and Frisbee. Wildlife abounds. There are two birdfeeders that attract a wide variety of birds, from chickadees to pileated woodpeckers. It is common to have deer browse out of the woods to the creek---SHHH---you must be quiet or they will be scared off! Relaxing in the rocking chair on the front porch gives you a view of the butterfly gardens, the trickling waterfall, and of the woods. Enjoy the wrap around deck. Even if it rains, the sound of the rain falling on the tin roof over the porch will relax you into wonderland. “Sit quietly and peace will come to you”. So too will the butterflies in the butterfly garden. Relish in the tranquility as some of God’s most gorgeous creatures flutter about you. This is their special place and we think it’ll become yours too. While relaxing in the hot tub, you can enjoy the country stars, and the sounds of nature at its finest. Creekside Cabin is located conveniently 2 1-2 miles from Nashville Indiana, where you can enjoy the unique shops, dining, and the Little Nashville Opry. Beautiful Brown County State Park is only 5 miles away, and great fishing awaits you at Lake Monroe, which is only a 20 minute drive. Come be our guest at Creekside Cabin.
