Beyond this property are hundreds of acres of undeveloped ravines and ridgetops that ultimately become nature's playground. Deer are generally spotted in the early morning and evening hours, squirrels are up the treetops and through the woods at a constant pace and colorful birds including the pileated woodpecker make this their home. Remember that you are restricted to this 8 acres property only and do not trespass. The ridgetop trail is your boundary. This authentic log cabin was constructed with massive poplar logs from a local sawmill and chinked with mortar. The exterior is rich in earthy color and the interior logs are untouched and natural. Our lawn is nicely manicured and a flagstone stamped walk is bordered with perennials. Step inside to beautiful hickory floors, a brown county stone gas log fireplace and awesome unique country decor. Relax on leather reclining sofas while watching the 40" T.V. with satellite or select a dvd. You'll like the 1951 restored coke machine located in the loft. Enjoy the cozy dining room. . The kitchen is fully equipped with modern conveniences including a dishwasher. For outdoor cooking, we have a charcoal grill and picnic table. Roast marshmallows and tell stories around the campfire, relax on the porch swing and listen to the "croakin' frogs" or star gaze from the six person hottub. Activities include horseshoes and a 1/4 mile scenic trail. This cabin was built for your pleasure and we believe that once you stay, we'll become your favorite destination.
