Curly Shingles Log Cabin
This cozy log cabin is located in a private wooded setting only 3 miles from Little Nashville Indiana. Close to Yellowwood State Forest, this authentic log cabin for many will be a step back in time to their child hood memories and to the younger generation a brief look at early life in Brown County.
The original log cabin was built from hand hewn logs in Corydon, Indiana in the 1820's. The cabin was moved to its present location in the 1970's.
Curly Shingles Cabin is made very comfortable with all new furnishings and a nice mix of antique’s throughout. Curly Shingles is great for a short get-a-way weekend or a summer vacation. Curly Shingles comfortably accommodates up to six guests.
The large log living room
is very warm and cozy with a wood burning stove for those cool evenings. Complete with a 42" flat screen satellite TV and new DVD player and a nice queen size sleeper sofa.
Enjoy dining on the
rear deck while enjoying the wildlife. You might even see the deer and wild turkeys that frequent the back yard.
There is a new six person
hot tub
for relaxing after those long walks in the forest.
You may want to just sit and relax, read your favorite novel or just enjoy Brown Counties beautiful natural landscape from the covered front porch.
Enjoy a game of horseshoes in our shoe pit by day, then enjoy telling stories around a bonfire by the brown county stone fire pit at night.
The
kitchen
is furnished with all of the cooking and eating utensils, including a microwave, coffee maker and charcoal grill. The cabin also has an ironing board and a small Iron.
When you are ready to retire... the two upstairs
bedrooms
are furnished with comfortable
queen size beds ,
nice decorative quilts and some antique furniture. Hardwood floors with nice area rugs add to the rustic cabin charm. The two full baths are supplied with nice towels and guest soaps.
