Whether you decide to stroll through the artistic town of Nashville, take a hike or horse-back ride or hike through Brown County State Park or Hoosier National Forest, enjoy a meal at the famous Story Inn restaurant, or retreat to this cabin in the woods, "The Great Escape" is here to meet your every need.Rustic charm and privacy along with modern conveniences await you. A real log-and-chink cabin, "The Great Escape" features two bedrooms and 2 ˝ baths (both with bath and shower) with an open loft room. This authentic, rustic poplar wood log cabin is fully heated and air-conditioned with ceiling fans in all rooms, including the screened-in porch room. There also is a 6 person hot tub and wrap around porch with chairs and benches for enjoying your morning coffee, an evening meal, or a glass of wine while watching the deer and listening to the owls. DOWNSTAIRS, the GREAT ROOM features a two-story open area with oak floors, a cathedral ceiling, limestone gas log fireplace, new comfortable furnishings, rustic décor, and a 46" cable HD TV with BluRay/ DVD. Bring your own DVDs or watch some of the collection at the cabin. The room opens onto a DINING AREA that can accommodate seating for eight, and that overlooks the back lawn and woods beyond. Off the dining room is a screened in porch with a scenic view, perfect for evening meals, a glass of wine, or morning coffee. The KITCHEN is fully equipped with refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster oven, coffee pot, microwave, and utensils for all your cooking needs. The master BEDROOM downstairs is furnished with a hickory queen bed and dresser and 32" HD cable TV. A private bath and tub adjoins this room. There also is a half bath down the hallway. The downstairs has all oak floors. UPSTAIRS there is an open loft with a pool table, games table and sleeper sofa. Whether you want to shoot pool, play Scrabble or Jenga, or just curl up with a good book (and there are many here), the loft provides a cozy family area with high ceiling beams that overlooks the great room. Off the loft, there is a second large BEDROOM with another queen bed, a 32" cable TV, and a second full bath and tub with private entrance. The full wrap-around BACK PORCH includes a six person hot tub, seating around the cabin for sitting out at different times of day, a screened in area for dining, and a charcoal barbecue for all your grilling needs. Out front there is a firepit for roasting marshmallows or sitting and telling stories while listening for the resident owls. We have cornhole and horseshoes, and soon will add a volleyball net. While we are working on trails in 2012, explore the ten acres within the blazed boundaries, or follow the creek to the markers.
