Hearthstone Vacation Home
If its hilltop seclusion you seek, you’ll be happy to know your search is over.
Hearthstone is a contemporary style, multi-level, rustic cedar
that’s set atop a two-acre wooded site, amidst plenty of beautiful trees and tranquil views across the valley below.
Conveniently located within fifteen minutes of Nashville, and about the same distance to Bloomington,
Hearthstone is a perfect place for IU sports fans to congregate on game weekends,
and to visit the well-loved village of Nashville, and Brown County State Park.
The front door brings you in on the main level, and to a spacious
which is fully equipped with a dishwasher,
fridge/freezer with icemaker, and a big island for setting out a spread for the whole gang.
Morning coffee can be sipped and savored in the cozy little
with built-in seating,
while family-style dinners in the adjoining
will bring everyone together around the dining room table that can
comfortably handle a crowd of eight.
Step down into the sunken living room, which has a massive stone
with gas logs, so that having a fire is as simple as flipping a switch.
A big flat screen TV and lots of windows help make this
very inviting to gather for chatting, movie watching, and enjoying the spectacular view.
Feel free to make use of the books, board games, and cards provided just as if you owned the place.
spans the width of the house, and features a
to bubble and steam away your cares, as well as a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking pursuits.
There’s a half bath located on the main level, as well.
Off of the kitchen is a heated garage with a
and satellite TV for some family fun.
From the front door, you can climb a short flight of stairs to another level to find an upstairs
with a double bed,
and then up a few more steps to reach another level with a
bedroom with a queen bed and a private
bathroom so nobody will have to wait long for their shower time.
There is both an upper level
and a first flight
is furnished with fun seating and a TV…
for the kiddos to chill and watch a movie, yet parents can easily keep a watchful eye on them from the living room below.
(The sofa in the living room just happens to be a sleeper sofa, so this can become the “overflow” space for somebody, if necessary.)
Down on the lowest level of Hearthstone, you’ll find still one more
with a queen bed.
This one is extra cozy-fied with the addition of a sofa and a gas-log fireplace…so, lucky is that couple who calls first dibs on this sleeping spot!
If there are hikers in your group, they will be glad to know that they have direct access to the Tecumseh Trail, where nature geeks can seek their wooded bliss.
Yellowwood State Forest is only one mile away, and beckons the outdoor enthusiast to celebrate nature by packing a picnic basket or paddling about the lake in your kayak.
Indiana’s largest lake, Lake Monroe, is within a twenty-minute drive from Hearthstone, and you can launch your own boat there, or rent one from the marina.
So much to do here…you’re gonna need SEVERAL days…better call or click now to reserve the dates you want!
