Hearthstone Vacation HomeHearthstone is a three bedroom, two and a half bath, multi-level, rustic cedar, passive solar (lots of windows and a skylight) resort home with country charm and all the amenities...This home has been featured in the book "Beautiful Brown County". This resort home has a full size kitchen with a coffee maker, a dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer with an icemaker, and Breakfast Nook for that morning coffee and a view of the woods. The large dining room has large table and 8 chairs. The living room, with a massive Brown County Stone gas log fireplace, is a wonderful place to sit and relax. From time to time you can see deer and other wildlife through its "wall of windows". Looking up from the living room, you can see the open Loft and the "bridge" leading to it. The deck with a hot tub is accessible from the kitchen breakfast nook, living room and lower level bedroom. It actually stretches across the entire back of the house! (Charcoal grill on back deck.) For your enjoyment, there are books (and nooks), games and basic satellite w/HBO and two receivers, one in the living room with a VCR and one in the lower level bedroom, which has a sofa & gas log fireplace, queen size bed, with a DVD player, a Playstation 2 and some games. The attached heated garage now has a pool table, air hockey and dart board. There are two queen size beds, one full size bed and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The two bedrooms upstairs each has a full bath attached. The main level has a half bath. HEARTHSTONE sits on two hilltop acres on the "Tecumseh (walking) Trail". You can use this trail or drive a mile or so to reach Yellowwood State Forest and Yellowwood Lake where you can enjoy hiking, fishing, boating and picnics. It is ten minutes to Nashville and all it has to offer, as well as the Little Nashville Opry and Brown County State Park, Indiana's largest park. Traveling west of Hearthstone, it is ten minutes to Indiana University Campus in Bloomington and twenty minutes to Lake Monroe, Indiana's largest lake. |
