Livin' the Dream
Newly opened in the Fall of 2016, the logs and lumber used to build Livin’ The Dream came from trees that once stood on this property
and another nearby farm and forest. The owner and family friends designed and built this 3500 sq. ft. log retreat.
Very spacious and very secluded, this family vacation
is ready to welcome up to 10 guests to commune with nature in its wooded hillside setting.
Guests are invited to gather round in the open-concept
area with spectacular views to the great outdoors.
Comfy sofas, chairs, a big
and fully-equipped kitchen will make everyone in your group feel right at home.
On the main level, there’s a
that features massive beams and a beautiful vintage door with leaded glass panes.
‘Reclaim and repurpose’ is a practice that the homeowner has implemented throughout the

hop in the car and head to Brownie’s Bean Blossom Inn for tasty home-cooking meals all day long.
The Gatesville General Store is also just a short jaunt away, and is famous for bountiful breakfasts and lunches.
The big fireplace and flat-screen TV complete the family huddle spot.
The lower level of this cabin is all about the entertainment of its guests.

fresh air, and then come back to grill some burgers on the charcoal grill, or make s’mores around the campfire.
When the day is done, and the owls commence to hootin’, it’ll be time to trundle up the stairs to take your pick of the three huge, carpeted

has some really cool oak woodwork…you’ll see that the boards that finish the upper part of the bedroom wall are all matching boards,
indicating that they were all cut from the same tree…again,
a tree that came from these very woods surrounding you.
A big, wide hallway has the industrial look going on with visible ductwork, and this hallway leads the way to the big bathroom that’s shared by these two upstairs
