Serenity Log CabinSerenity Log Cabin According to the dictionary, the word 'serenity' means “the state of being calm, peaceful, untroubled”. You may capture that feeling in this quiet, five-acre setting where a 1930's-era log cabin/partial-frame construction home is your respite from the world. Bigger than it looks from the road, Serenity Log Cabin has three bedrooms, one bath, two screened porches, and a deck. Nashville, Helmsburg, and Bean Blossom are all within a 10-minute drive of this place, but you'll feel as though you're a million miles from crowds and calamity.Authentic cabin touches such as rustic doors, wood ceilings and floors, and knotty pine paneling give the house an easy-going country attitude. The family room can cater to a crowd with two sofas, two recliners, and two glider-rockers. Factor in a TV, a wood-burning stove, and a huge picture window for watching Mother Nature's creatures in their woodland habitat, and you've got yourself a good reason to skip work for several days. There's a spacious kitchen complete with appliances and other necessities for meal prep for you and your companions. A large dining table, pretty windows, and ceiling beams make this a welcoming place for everything from pizza to puzzles during your Brown County visit. One of the screened porches is outfitted with a glider and chairs for seating; and the other offers a table & chairs for outdoor dining. From this second porch, you can also step out on to the deck where another table & chairs plus a charcoal grill are located. Now, let's talk about the three bedrooms...Log walls, original cabin-esque windows with cute curtains, and a choice of bedding sizes are sure to suit guests' sleeping requirements. Fireplaces in two of the bedrooms will add a nice snap, crackle, pop on a crisp night. The master bedroom is large enough to support a fireplace, a king-sized bed, a loveseat, and two chairs...with plenty of room to spare. A smaller bedroom provides two twin beds, which would be nice for the kids. The third bedroom is amply outfitted with a queen-size bed, a Victorian-style dresser, an antique rocker, as well as a fireplace. In an area near the kitchen, you'll find a daybed with its own trundle bed underneath...so there's room for two more guests to catch some zzz's. Whether it's just the two of you, or the whole crew...Serenity Log Cabin is ready to make you feel right at home. If this space isn't adequate...the owners offer another cabin that's within walking distance, called Weekender Retreat, which can house up to four guests. When staying in either of these two cabins, you're not far from Bluegrass music at the Bill Monroe Music Park in Bean Blossom, lots of shopping opportunities in Nashville's boutiques and galleries, or fishing in nearby Lake Lemon or Yellowwood Lake.
