Sporting Lodge

The Sporting Lodge... Welcome to the Sporting Lodge. The Lodge is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home which sleep 6; but we can accommodate a few more on couches or an air mattress. With it's large front & back porch & large fenced in yard, this Lodge is perfect for entertaining. Inside it is quaint & cozy, yet spacious for a group; perfect for a no hassle vacation or weekend in Bloomington. Enjoy the Flat Screen TV (one in main living area) w/ Direct TV (many channels including movie channels, but not HBO, Cinnemax, ect), DVD player, board games & cards. This lodging has no phone and no internet. The Master room, dubbed Captain's Quarters, has a King size bed. The attached full bath has a shower & bathtub. On the other side of the house are the two guest rooms with a shared full bath with shower & bathtub. One room has a Queen size bed & the other has two single beds for a variety of sleeping arrangements. The kitchen is fully stocked with basic cookware, utensils & appliances. Off that, a laundry room is available as needed. The spacious Grand Room shares a large dinning table, kitchen table & plenty of living room space. Enjoy the electric fireplace while playing board games with the family or watching movies with friends on the large flat screen TV. Located in a neutral location on the East side of Bloomington, this Lodge is a convenient place for any of your travel needs. The Lodge is just 1.3 miles from Lake Monroe access -Pine Grove Boat Ramp is located just off The Sporting Lodge cross road; Pine Grove, Paynetown State Recreation area is 2 miles away & the Causeway & Cutright Marina is just 3 miles). Several local & state Recreation areas, including the Hoosier National Forest & Charles C. Deam Wilderness, are all nearby. The Lodge is a mere 10 miles from Downtown Bloomington & Indiana University. It is a close 20 minute beautiful scenic drive to Nashville & Brown County. Coming soon in 2009 the Lot next door to the Sporting Lodge will be transformed into a premier Outfitting Pro Store, including a full range indoor Archery Range. A local sporting rental & trip planning space is anticipated as well. During your stay visit the Sporting Lodge's sister site, Scenic View Restaurant & Beer Garden (coming 2009) for great food & live entertainment. It's just 1 mile down the road! Virtual Tour
