A Five Star Cabin at Lake Monroe From the moment you enter the front door of this cabin near Lake Monroe, until you pack your bags and head home, you will feel like you are experiencing the getaway cabin of your dreams. The cozy feel of real brick walls, the warm feel of hardwood floors, the beauty of the "wall of windows" in the cathedral living room, the smell of cedar wood and leather furniture, all give our guests a pleasant sense of calm and relaxation while they stay with us. Just a short walk down the road, is the boat ramp at "Adventure Bay" on Lake Monroe. The mouth of the bay is flanked by Moores Creek ramp and Paynetown ramp . The bay itself is idle zone only. Use our kayaks or canoe to paddle the calm waters, or launch a motor boat to access all that Monroe Reservoir has to offer. The focus of the interior of the cabin is on the panoramic view of the valley and hills surrounding the cabin property, with a 2-story wall of windows covering the west side. The entire valley is protected government property for the purpose of flood control of nearby Lake Monroe. From hawks and eagles soaring overhead and scouring the floor of the valley, to the white-tailed deer highway that parallels the creek below the cabin, it will be easy to rejuvenate the spirit by spending a couple of days here. Our guests may choose to hike or bike to the lake(1/3 mile), or use our kayaks and canoes on AdventureBay, before relaxing in the cabin of an evening. You'll have the lake to yourself during the off season and on weekdays. So... go ahead and splurge a little bit. The toughest part of your weekend will be deciding whether to take a sauna first, play a round of pool or pinball , or just sit back in the massage chair while watching a full lenghth movie on the big screen. Enjoy after dinner coffee on the back deck following your romantic dinner prepared in the lovely kitchen. And, if you need further help getting relaxed, then fit yourself into the massage chair, put it on "relax" mode, and get ready to surrender to the urge to sleep! Your "escape won't be complete until you've experienced this exceptional indulgence. And Don't forget...before you turn in for the night (to the loft bedroom), take a few minutes to turn down the lights, crank up the gas stove , and enjoy the flames dancing off the wood walls as you soak in the living room hot tub. This vacation home is a romantic getaway for 2 guests only. Owner Special (Nov- April): $50.00 off each weekday night (sun-thurs) These cabins are all individually owned and operated. Five Star owner loves long stays. However, if you rent this unit for more than 4 days at a time, the owner does require 2 nights payment at the time that you make the reservation and a cancellation notice of 14 days prior to arrival, or the 2 nights payment will NOT be refunded.
