Among the Tree Tops
Just 15 minutes from both downtown Bloomington and scenic Nashville, Among the Treetops is the perfect spot to enjoy the best of all worlds. Just off Highway 46, a short, but scenic drive takes you along one of the areas most popular bicycle routes. Turn onto a quiet gravel road and you'll find this treasure nestled on a forested hillside, overlooking a peaceful valley. Once inside, the view from every window will make you feel as if you are literally perched in the branches of the forest that surrounds you. The main floor has vaulted ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, a dining area, and sitting area with satellite tv. Also on this floor is a full kitchen with dishwasher, one bedroom with a queen size bed and a tv with dvd and vcr, and a bathroom with a soaker tub/shower with a huge picture window looking out into the trees. Head up the stairs to the loft bedroom, which has a fantastic king-size platform bed with temperpedic mattress, a separate satellite tv box and a cozy reading nook with a window overlooking the woods. Downstairs from the main floor is another bathroom with a shower, and a third bedroom with a full-size futon. Sliding doors from this bedroom lead out to the back patio where you can relax with a soak in the hottub with georgeous woods views, including a seasonal creek and rock outcroppings. Nearby recreation opportunities abound. The property has five acres of woods - a haven for rare species of birds - including indigo bunting and scarlet tanager - countless deer, and a bounty of wildflowers, many of which are rarely found elsewhere. The acreage borders Morgan-Monroe Forest, and is less than a mile from the "X" trail, or Brock Road Horse/Hiking Trail - a 2 mile trail that connects to the "Bill Jack Trail", and takes you all the way to Yellowwood Lake. |
