The Harvest Festival at Hard Truth Distilling Co. runs from 4–9 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, with live music, a local maker and artisan market, seasonal food and drinks, games, family-friendly fall activities, and scenic surroundings.

Brown County State Park's Full Moon Hike begins at 7:30 p.m. September 26 on the Salt Creek Trail. The guided night hike is family-friendly and free, although hikers should come prepared with closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
A moonlit walk through Brown County State Park followed by a late-night soak in the hot tub sounds like a pretty good ending to a fall Saturday.

Uncle Pen Fest runs September 24–26 at Bill Monroe Music Park & Campground and celebrates Brown County's bluegrass heritage with performers, workshops, jam sessions, and the Bluegrass Hall of Fame induction.

The Mill Race Marathon takes place just down the road in Columbus, Indiana, with a full marathon, half marathon, 5K, and family-friendly Kids Fun Run.
Even better for a National Daughter’s Day getaway, the free Kids Fun Run takes place Friday, September 25, making it a fun way for younger daughters and families to celebrate the day together. The marathon, half marathon, and 5K begin Saturday morning, September 26.
